I was wondering if anyone could help me out? I get a wheel hop when making left turns. At least that's where I always seem to notice it. I useally have my foot in it. You know to pull out into traffic or to just get going. I never notice it when I start out slow. It just feels weird. Like trying to lay rubber with one wheel in a rig that doesn't have posi. Any input would be appreciated. Ron

Sounds like you have a limited slip differential. You may need to stop by a dealership and pick up 4 oz of friction modifier. If you are planning on changing your differential lube in the near future, just wait on the friction modifier and change the lube to synthetic. Synthetic seems to work well without the modifier. The modifier is a quick fix to your problem more than likely.

The anti-spin has a set of clutch discs that control the amount of relative movement between the two rear wheels. The more the clutch engages, the more "anti-spin" or "positive traction" you have, but this causes the wheel hop problem. The wheel hop will probably decrease as the clutch wears. The friction modifer solves the wheel hop, but also reduces the amount of anti-spin you have, increasing the probability of getting stuck. You may try adding 2 oz, seeing the results, then adding the rest if that isn't satisfactory. I don't have any experience with the synthetics, but some people really love them. Hope this helps.
