Does anyone know the moapr part #s for the rear wheel liners and plastic mud flaps. Also what is the approxiomate cost of these items Does anyone have any installed pics of the flaps?

The Dodge molded mudflaps appear a bit too narrow for 265s or 285 tires, I am looking for an alternative. I had 265s on my 1998. 5 truck, and sometimes they were too narrow.

The wheel well liners are #82207367 according to the FAQs. Dont know the cost, but others (Putco for example) offer chrome ones aftermarket. Google it.

Good Flaps

I really like the kaydenco mudflpas on my truck, I oreder the rears with the stainless weights and later took the weights off because it looked a little to "redneck" for my taste.

Check 'em out at www.kaydenco.com

I looked at those on line, they are pricey, but I couldnt tell how stiff they were. Usually the better form-fitted ones are molded, these do not appear to be. I wouldnt mind the weighted ones, my new 04 is bright silver. Your further comments appreciated.

Made my own

After searching endlessly for mudflaps I gave up and made my own. I have a 2-wheel drive which makes it even harder.

I do not like plastisticized rubber, molded rubber or plastic flaps. That rules about everything out! I drew up my own design and had it cut out of diamond plate aluminum at a local shop then used a heavy rig rubber mudflap for the rubber portion. Turned out great and and they work terrific. I've gotten a number of compliments on them. Cost less than $90 for all materials and shop expense for a set of 4. I haven't gotten the front ones on yet but they match the rears.

Check them out on Page 3 of my photo album here. The pics are pretty poor quality but you get an idea of how they look.

Those are very cool flaps, you should go into business on those, price em around $75 a pair and beat the competion. I dont like paying $100 a pair for mud flaps, no matter how nice they are. I asked Kaydenco Co. to post or send some better pictures of theirs, installed. On line there isnt much detail.

Thanks.

JRensel, one of my biggest peeves is websites that don't show squat for products especially accessories not being installed on vehicles! If you're in the business of selling stuff why not present it in as favorable a way as possible?

NorthWest Custom has some very nice flaps for 4x4s: http://www.omnicast.net/~nwcustom/

You have to keep trying them though, Jason Burton is pretty much a 1-man show operating in a little town south of Spokane but he's got some nice stuff.

What part of Washington are you in? Have you heard of www.nwbombers.com ? It's the Dodge/Cummins hangout for NW guys, come check it out :)

Rear wheel liners are $89 each from your friendly Dodge dealer. I can get part number if they cant find it.

Mud flaps from DC are just too minimal, by tomorrow I should have a line on another, intermediate priced set of flaps, with or without polished SS weights.

For the high end of quality and fit/finish, Dennis of Kaydenco sent me the following email and some great photos, will be on his web site soon:

"Hello Jack

Thank you for your nice comments about the TDR. We have tried to cater to these guys as they have evaluated our mudflaps very thoroughly and we do appreciate their continuing support.

Now for the new Dodge pickups: Dodge changed the inner fender well liner in "03 to current and it has been a good thing for mudflaps. We did have to design a special cut to work in conjunction with the new liner and in fact use this same liner as an additional mounting point. The new flaps are mounted using our stainless steel self tapping screws to anchor the mudflap down the outside edge of the fender well flange and we then add a 1/4 x 20 stainless bolt through the flap and the liner for more security. This configuration is strong yet simple to install. All mounting hardware is included with your flaps as well as easy to follow instructions.

You will need our style #7 03 for the fronts and our style # 2 03 for the rears. You can order your flaps either with our very nice stainless steel weights or without which ever you prefer. The antisail properties of our flaps are identical in either case. If you have a special application such as a custom length, I will need to talk to you before we ship to build a special pair. This is a service we provide for no additional cost to you.

We also extend to our TDR customers and additional 10% discount if your order is phoned in. It's our way of saying "Thanks" to the guys at this site.

You can call me at (541) 471-7048 and I'd be happy to talk to you about your particular needs or take your order over the phone at that time.

Thank you for your inquiry about our quality products.

Sincerely Yours,

Dennis Perry"

Vaughn, thanks for the invite to check out your website, I have met some of your members while fueling. We are in Arlington (west side of mountains), out in the sticks with too much grass (the legal kind) and not enough stock to eat it all. I do, however, work on the Columbia Rv and some lakes over your way, now and then and tow my boat around all over the place.

My opinion, I love the look of the molded factory mud flaps. But, I just spent almost $6000 on a new paint job, and now, where I installed my mudflaps to deter rock chips, the mud flaps rub the body and have taken my paint off. got to take care of that before winter. Just kinda makes a guy mad, once you get something looking good there is something else wrong.

Kaydenco is a top product and looks sharp on my red 03. I kept the stainless weights on cuz I like the redneck look on the bigbutt! :D

Just installed the rear wheel liners and molded mud flaps today- much better!

Liner kit: 82207367

Mud flaps: 82207914, 8220715

Great pics JSooter. I have the same flaps and liners on order. I should have them today with my truck arriving in a week or so. Have been wondering how they will look. Thanks!

Crappy OEM flaps

Got the Mopar flaps from the dealer. They look nice and subtle, but don't protect nearly well enough. I need them to cover about 3-5" lower. I think I'm going to trim a bit off the bottom and pop rivet some extensions on to 'em. Will probably look bad but I'm getting way too many rock chips on the horsey trailer (and my lower quarters...
