Wheel Load Rating

My tires (265's) have a load rating of 3415# maximum. My rear axle is rated at 7500#. Does anyone know the maximum load capacity of the chrome steel wheels? I haven't been able to find this information in any manual or stamped anywhere on the wheels. Everyone says they are strong but how strong are they really?

If you are talking factory check to see if stamped on wheel. Probably on back side. I also think they are listed in owner manual or shop manual. I remember seeing but don't recall where.
Stock/standard rims weighed 36 lbs each and weight capacity 3200 lbs (+or-)a few.
I recently put on aluminum wheels 26 lbs each with 3000 lb weight capacity. They had -3 insert.
The farther the rims/wheels allow the tire to stick out from beneath the wheel well the less weight capacity they have.
I would think your wheels would be similar to my stock wheel in weight capacity but not in looks. Your's would have been nicer.

I have an extra factory chrome wheel and although there are many little stampings on the inside rim, nothing is said about load rating. I went through the whole service manual, Dodge brochures and whatever else I could find. Nothing! If none of you knows the answer, I guess I may have to write to DC. I wonder if they will answer... . Once my curiosity is aroused, I have to know!

I remeber seeing it but not where. Tommorow I will look at stock rims and owners manual.
It mite have been on the gvwr label on door jam?
One way or another I'll find it.
I know weight of wheel and load capacity were in same place.
You mite get info from your Dodge dealer also.
