So, I turned my star wheel about 25 clicks or so towards the engine..... so far... it feels a little bit stronger on the lower end.

Am I going to hurt anything?

Matt - a little concerned for my $$$$P7100$$$$

Star Wheel

Should'nt hurt a thing, you should be getting more smoke befor the turbo comes in.

more soot...

Yeah, I get more soot when I 'blip' the throttle from an idle... . not a whole lot... . just a little bit.

How far can I go with the AFC star wheel before I run into trouble?

I'm enjoying these free mods... they're fun to do!

cant hurt it. I turned mine all the way and then turned it back to cut down on the smoke. all it will do is haul butt and smoke. Crank it and see. It only takes a minute. My first time I had to go 40 clicks before it did much.

Okay, so since I'm only changing the fueling on the low end just off idle... . I'm assuming my EGT's will still be happy... .

Does the star-wheel just suddenly stop or is something going to fall off if I keep on turning it towards the engine?

Matt - in desperate need of EGT/boost gauges

I just had my AFC housing apart to install a lghter spring and #11 plate. The star wheel when turned towards the engine relaxes the spring tension on the AFC diaphram which allows fueling with lower boost pressure. At full relax position the star wheel bottoms against the housing, cant come off.

Okay, cool... .

I'm pretty sure mine is adjusted all the way then... . it kinda stopped moving after I spun it around a bit today.

Thanks!

Matt
