2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Wheel offset/backspacing

I'm looking to replace my stock alloys with some black American Racing wheels. I need some help on what to order. I would like to have them stick out about an inch farther than stock. What does that mean when ordering new wheels? Is that the backspace that needs to be changed? Does anyone know the stock backspacing? Thanks Clay



Ebay has some 8 lug 16'' plain black A. R. wheels for $275 shipped.

I think the 6. 25" shown as "offset" is actually the backspacing.

Yes, the 6. 25" is the backspacing. The offset is actually on the order of +20mm.

And what company has wheels with that much backspacing? I spent several hours last night looking, I found some with 4 1/2 and that was the most.

There are some guys on here that have found some aftermarket wheels that come close to the OE specs but not exactly. Do a search for "wheels" or something and see what others are coming up with. Otherwise, you may be stuck with the OEM factory alloys... if you can find some.
