Hey guys,

I have replaced my 92 D250 club cab Cummins with an 03 1500 quad cab(I know I made a mistake, but it fit my budget). I have a question that some of you guys may be able to answer.

I am looking to get a set of cheap wheels for my truck so I can put some snow tires on them. I have a line on a set of Nokian Hakkapalliita-1 snow tires but the thing is they are 255/70-16 in size, and the wheels on my truck are the factory 17" wheels. I have not been able to find out if a set of 16" wheels from a second gen 1/2 ton will fit my truck. I know the Nokian tires in that size are rated to work on my truck, but I need to know before I buy a set of wheels in 16" size will clear everything on my truck. Any help on this subject is greatly appreciated. I know you guys are all about the 3/4-1 ton models with the 8 lug wheels like my 92,but I figure someone on here must have knowledge of other dodge trucks. For the record I think my wheels on the Hemi are 5x5. 5,and the tire size is 265/70-17.

Thanks,

Chris

I think this post will answer most of your question. .

A little reaming could make em work I guess, but thats typically not a good idea.

As for the spacing, running a smaller tire than your original will definetly be fine. Just measure the outside diameter first.

good luck
