We are doing some front end work on one of our trucks at work. Is a 99 2500 CTD, auto qc lb. When we were taking the wheels off, I noticed the passenger side had a thin spacer on it, but not the drivers side. Do these trucks come with pacers from the factory? It's only like a 1/8 in. spacer. We're putting it back together on monday, and I'm wondering if we'll need these. Thanks.

they were/are installed to correct pulling to the left or right when braking.

there was a TSB several years ago. my dealer gave me the set (3 or 4 shims, different sizes) to try to correct the pulling on my '94. they are hanging around here somewhere

I took mine (3mm) off the first time I changed the calipers. Bought truck w/75k. I pulled the wheel because it was pulling to the right, the shim was on the right - so much for that BS idea working. Use plenty of lube on the caliper landings and pins (CRC makes a product "Sta-Lube Brake Caliper Synthetic Grease" - Part # SL3303, comes in a 12 oz tub w/brush - I got mine @ NAPA) and leave off the shim. Try it, if it pulls then put it back on. Mine has been hanging on the garage wall since I removed it 65k ago.

Good luck.
