How to tell if 3.73 or 4.10

Where can I get a low cost shop manual on CD?

My brother did most of the work for me when my bearing went out a month ago so I didn't get a good look at things.

Why can't you take out the bolt/screw holding the sensor in place and put in a new one? I was told some of the cheaper aftermarket assemblies don't even include the sensor.

The truck is my dads. He was changing ball joints and he and a friend pounded the wheel bearing off with a BFH and from what he said POUNDED & POUNDED & POUNDED. Now the ABS and brake light stay on. He is going to call the dealer today and see if he can get just the sensor.

YES it is plugged in and he has driven it a few times and the lights still on.

Any other thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

There's a good chance the bearing itself was partially separated and damaged during all that pounding. Now the tone ring is misaligned, which causes a fault in the signal, which leads to the ABS light coming on.

If that is the case, I think you'll need to replace the whole bearing.

I told him to put a new bearing in while he was there. He went through all that work just to do the upper and lower. He didnt want to take the time to change the U-joint or put a new bearing in. I think he should do shocks to but he says there still good. I think the truck has about 60to70k on the factory shocks.

I will let you know what the dealer has to say when dad gets back to me.
