Did the math on some Tire/Wheel combinations that you might find interesting.

Stock 17x8 Rims w/265x70x17 will stick out 3. 2"or 0"from stock.


Eagle 114 18x9. 5 w/Nitto 285x60x18 will stick out 4. 52"or 1. 32" from stock


Kore Welds 18x8 w/Toyo 35x12. 5x18 will stick out 4. 6" or 1. 4" from stock


Eagle 114 18x9. 5 w/Nitto 325x60x18 will stick out 5. 15" or 1. 95" from stock


Eagle 114 18x9. 5 w/Nitto 325x65x18 will stick out 5. 25" or 2. 05 from stock




The thing that's interesting is when you put the big Toyo mudder on your expensive Kore Weld wheel you may be centered per OEM on your backspacing but your still going to hang past your wheel well.

What is the backspacing on the wheels? It looks like your numbers are based on stock back spacing which is not available on Eagle wheels.

Eagle 114 has stock Backspacing 6" and +22 Offset. The rim is 1. 5" wider than stock at 9. 5" or 18x9. 5. The rim is rated at 3420Lb and weighs 38Lbs. The Part # is 1144-9988 for Polished if interested.

Why Yes the Eagle 114 18x9. 5 #1144-9988 has a 6" backspace and a +22 offset.

My Eagle 114's I just put on (17x10's w/ BFG 315's) stick out a good couple inches. Kinda like it, kinda don't...

Not super psyched on the flares I am seeing either

Are you sure about the KORE Welds? They are 8. 5" wide with 6. 5" backspace which should make them equal with stock, although the rubber will be wider (if that's what you meant).

Kore wheels were done at 18x8 with 6" backspace. Or you can say 18x8. 5 with a 6. 5 backspace it's the same. The Kore Weld wheel is the same as the stock wheel except you gain 1. 4" with the Toyo 35x12. 5x18. Your truck will not cover the tread without fender flares.

I'm pretty sure about this, But I may be wrong. The two posts that Cali did are fairly inaccurate. If you intend to do a compairison of wheels and tires, Match sizes of tires, it makes it a little easier for us to validate what has been said.



I wish there was another wheel available. I just bought the last 10 Kore welds and only have one more set in stock. They are a beautiful wheel but very spendy. I would like to get something going in the $200-$250 range.

Just as stated above (more that once) same as stock.

The tires are about an inch wider in reality and do not stick out of the wheel wells enough to merit fender flares. Greg

The Toyo 35x12. 5x18 has a foot print of 13. 2 inches.
The OEM 265x70x17 tire has a foot print of 10. 4 inches.
That's a difference of 2. 8 inches.
1. 4 inches from stock (as stated above)

Here in California that would require fender flares or hefty mud flaps.

The Eagle 114 18x9. 5 with a 6"backspace and +22 offset is a very inexpensive wheel. You can buy 4 for the price of one Kore Weld Wheel,or in your case you can buy 40 for the price of 10.

Eagle wheels are cast aluminum no matter how cheap they are. The polish also isn't worth a ****. The factory wouldn't put cast aluminum wheels on a 1 ton truck, and I'm not sure why y'all would either.

yup, i believe they are... that is also why they are not polished i think. .

Fellas, cast is not that bad word people want to think it is. Metallurgy has come a LONG way, and many cast wheels are EVERY bit as strong as their forged counterparts. It's just that the cast wheels will probably we heavier for a given strength level.



Note the rather heavy OEM cast wheels on the 3rd gens.
