Wheel-to-Wheel Side Steps ?

Any comments pro or con about the longer side steps? Seems like a good idea for the extra $100 over the regular ones...

I have the DEE ZEE wheel to wheel on my 95, its a two piece and i love them, solid and don't need to worry about frame/body flex.
On the green one this would work but over time the rear over hang will start to bend, if used much, or they are used by a heavy person There is no support attachment on the rear end, and may not last.

I have the N'Fab's with the 3rd step, it sure makes getting into the bed (reaching, or climbing into) much easier.

What he said, however mine are like the green truck, one piece. They help a lot for working with cargo in the front of the bed without having to climb up into the bed. Mine have not bent yet but they are only 18 months old. Time will tell. I weigh 200lbs and I can see flex when I step on them but so far they have not taken a memory to the flex.

I am pleased with the wheel to wheel boards on mine. Step up near the end then up on the top of the tire and into the bed to access the 5TH wheel hitch. Works for me. Had them on my previous truck as well.

Just my personal opinion, but to me the long steps on a long bed just make the whole truck look 'clunky'!

The long ones are handy for getting at stuff in the front of the bed, as long as it is near a side, but I like the look of the cab-lenght ones better. Something about the long version makes the truck look like it sits lower. I have the long ones on my truck only because that is how it was outfitted on the lot.

I had full-length Mopar diamond-plate boards on my 1996. Liked them.

I have the cab-length Mopar tube steps on my 2005. I admit I miss the bedside access, so I will likely get extended steps/boards on whatever truck is next.

I had wheel-to-wheel on my 2011 and thought they were very handy to access the bed. Are you considering a tonneau cover? Then they might not be as useful. But if you can afford it and like the looks, then get them. Better to have them and not use them that much then not have the wheel-to-wheel and later wish you did.
