Wheel Well Liner Install Question

Do the rear wheel well liners from Mopar require you to drill the body for installation?

No, everything is pre-drilled, takes about 15 min to install.

fritzimax is right. Even the most mechanically challenged could handle that job.



The only thing that may be a problem for some is that I think you need torx wrenches to do the job.

Just bought mine at the dealer tonight, will be installing tomorrow. It looks as though it will be a piece of cake, but you definitely need torx drivers. Oo.

So why the %^$#*@ did Dodge leave these off? (Like a locking tail gate). Did I read somewhere that it is to facilitate some fifth wheel hitch installs?

Mine did not fit very tightly to the body, so I drilled and added a couple more fasteners. If you do this I suggest sealing the drilled holes with silicone upon assembly.

I am about to order these liners from my dealer. What did you guys have to pay? Is there an invoice price for these?

I paid $89 +tax at my local dealer. It wasn't the dealer that I bought the truck, so they weren't too willing to give me any discounts.



I just got finished installing mine, was super easy (no drilling required), and I'm not terribly mechanically inclined. The only bummer was that I had to take off the splash guards that I installed last weekend, then reinstall them.

I also am paying $89. 99. I'm glad they don't require drilling... I prefer to keep my body drilling to a minimum.

They use existing holes AND holes that you have to drill. I had to drill 2 holes in each front guard, and one in each rear guard.



The fastners come with the guards, if you buy Mopar guards.

They were on my truck for only 2,000 miles and are like new.

My Mopar splash guards req. drilling one hole in the fender and one in the plastic wheel well liners for each wheel, front and back.

just installed mine tonight and it took all of 15 min. you do need a torx driver for the new screws that come with the liners... it just so happens that I have 2 extra sets due to a mess up on the ordering at the dealer my friend went thru and they are available for less than the dealer cost of $89 and change.
