Wheels 8" or 10"

Narrowing down to a few styles of wheels and hope to purchase soon. Big question 8's or 10's. No fender flares presently, don't want tires to stick out too far and look silly. Are 10's too wide for my 305X70's. Anyone with a picture of a 10" wheels please post a front to back (or visa - versa) shot. Thanks.

I went with the 8" because I tow a travel trailer. 10" would have been harder on the bearings while towing. If I wasn't towing I would have gone with the 10".



I have had Cooper 285 & 305's and Bridgestone 285's, I run 42# of air in the front and 34# of air in the rear when I'm not towing. I watch the tire pressure very closely. I still wear out the center of the tires. I think 10" would help them wear more evenly.

i have 305/70/16 on the rear wheels on my tahoe. the wheels are 16x8's. i wish i had 16x10's there. it would look so mean, but it is not too bad with the 16x8's and tire wear seems to be ok. i run 36-38psi rear, 38-40 psi front [but my fronts are 285/75/16's]

What is the offset on the 8" vs 10"? I have 9. 75" Eagle 16. 5" rims and they have a 4" offset. They do stick out a bit and really should have flares. They'd look great with flares, but I don't have them yet.

My wheels are 9. 75" wide. If I remember right the offset is 4 5/8". I've since added Mopar fender flares to cover the edge of the tire that was protruding about an inch and have taken off the goofy little stock mud-flaps. Here is a front shot:

That's pretty much what mine look like. I think I'm gonna sell them - I'll get up a picture in the Classifieds in the next few days.
