I have a 2013 2500 SLT that has 17” chrome clad wheels. I would like to find OEM aluminum wheels. Can I use 18” wheels and if so can the speedometer be adjusted to display correct speed?

I put 18" Laramie wheels, with stock Transforce HT tires, on my 2011. Slight control arm rub at full lock. IIRC, the 18" Laramie wheels had 1/2" more offset than the stock 17" Laramie wheels. Maybe other styles of 18s and 20s from the radius arm trucks have less of an offset difference.

I would guess that AlfaOBD could adjust for tire size, I haven't personally used it for that (only used for TPMS adjustment, so far).

Mine (2013 2500) also came withe the 17 inch chrome clad wheels. I bought 18 inch take offs on ebay from a later model ram. They fit well except there is a tiny barely noticable space between the new 18 in wheel & center caps. I had to keep the chrome center caps from the 17 inch wheels and they are slightly different than what i expect the 18 inch centercaps would be. It is about a 1/8 inch gap on the newer 18 in wheels between the wheel and center caps. Center caps are somewhat expensive, and my new wheels did not come with center caps.

My new wheels are 18 inch chrome clad. Exact same wheel.... Just 1 inch bigger. No rubbing.

My speedometer has not been calibrated. I just factor in that i am going about. 9-10% faster than what the speedometer says. So at 50 mph, i'm really going about 54-55 mph.

The Speedometer goes or tire diameter not wheel size so if you got tires with the same diameter as what you have now the speedo would still be accurate.

Your truck has +44mm offset, the Radius arm trucks have a +57mm offset so will sit in more and may rub the control arms but should not be much, the radius arm Power Wagons have about +44 offset still so those would fit a little better but I believe those are still 17's.
