Well snow is here in Michigan and When I stop my rear wheels don't want to, do you think its time for some rear brakes?I never had the drums off to check them but I did adjust them last summer... . or is it just all that torque these diesels have?... . Rick

Could very well be the automatic ( ie. always torque to the rear wheels). We had an older chrysler that did the same thing, when ever you got to an icy intersection you had to take it out of gear cause it would try to push you threw it. You might want to check/set up your rear brakes if it's been a while? Cheers

I experience the same thing. I sure makes backing out of the garage interesting on icy mornings!!! Make sure you have the rear brakes adjusted properly. There is only one correct way to do it - Jack the back end up off of the ground and adjust them by hand. The wheel should have some resistance when you try to turn it. It's definately a "feel" thing. I'm guessing a couple of pounds force max on the tire. If it freewheels - your way too loose. Also, the tighter TC will compound the problem.
