This morning I got around to installing my liners and they interfere with the rear overload spring perch. I got them to fit but not without a lot of effort and the spring perch is about to tear through the plastic.

Maybe there are two different PNs for the wheelwell liners and I got the 3/4 Ton set since there's no overloads on the 2500s?

EDIT: I meant to say this problem isn't because I put 'em in backwards 'cause they only go one way. So don't go there :p

Ok

So don't go there. Ok:D I never have put any on my 03 2500 but when I get the 04 3500 I think I will. First I have heard about them not fitting right.

Dodge Ram Rear Wheel Well Liners

Vaughn, the MOPAR P/N is 82207367. I put a set on my 03 3500, SRW and they went on in about 30 minutes and don't rub or touch anything. I do not believe that MOPAR makes a separate 2500 rear wheel well insert. If you have the correct inserts, I can not think of a reason why they don't just fall into place.

Mine went in very easily too. Maybe they gave you the wrong ones?

Are you sure you have the left on the left, and right on the right? (sorry, had to ask)

Mine went in easy too Vaughn. I know your in this area from time to time so if you want to stop by and take a look just let me know.

I hate to say this....

After reading how easy they were to install I got my wheel liners and had on heck of a time. Could not get it to fit "right".

Then I noticed the "L" on the other liner. Since I was working on the drivers side I realized the problem. With that piece of info. I was done in about 30 minutes (Include the removal of the "R" liner I had just "installed") and realized if they say it is easy here and I find it hard I'm doing it wrong;)

I didn't want too, but it sure would make me feel better if someone else have the same problem as I did. I just knew that Mopar messed up, Luckily my wife is used to me having to eat my words:D.

It has been awhile, but as I remember I broke down and read the instructions to figure out the "L". I was like admitting defeat:)

Wheel Well Liners

With the liners on our 2500 there is no clearance for over loads

the liner covers the whole spring and frame. I have never looked at A 3500 rear spring setup,But it sounds like there are diffrent

liner's for each model(IMHO) yes they are marked L&R my Wife

pointed that out to me,bless her,or I would have done my usual

do it twice routine!GWD

Fit great on mine, about an hour install, had to spray all the screws and clips with anti-corrosive stuff. They install behind the fender lip, I thought at first maybe they installed over it to protect the edge.

installed mine in about 30 mins! I have 03 2500 (see signature), however I do not have overload springs, (at least I do not think I have overload springs:confused: ). The ones installed on my 99 3500 were a little pain, if I remember right took over an hour, the 03 fit perfectly all the holes lined up and no plastic pop rivits to fool with! sorry to hear you had problems!

Don't go there! Who said that??

LMAO you guys crack me up!

OK, since you insist we go there, yes I DID try them on "backwards" and they don't come close to fitting.

After reading y'all's posts I think SRadke has it. . . 2wd issue. Guess I'll swap it out for a 4x4 so they'll fit right

They do look nice and should be a factory item on the 4x2s as well as the 4x4s. Got my home-made mudflaps on too and the truck's looking a lil' nicer today

Vaughn

I didn't want to mention it but now that you bought up the subject, mabey you tried putting them on upside down? anybody can see they have a little "L" for left and "R" for right so you can't get that one mixed up, but upside down????

I did not even know they made them for 4 X 2!! my 99 was a 4X2 but I order the 4 X 4 wheel liner and as I said theey fit relativley ok, the 03's went on great! don't remember the part number I used when I ordered them, If I come accross it I will forward it to you if it would help.

Why even go with them. I really like the fact they're not there. It is so much easier to clean (pressure spray) the mud, SALT, ice and snow off the under carrage and frame without them. Just my experience and $. 02 :)

Hey Vaughn, you may very well be right. Just with all the hauling I do, especially in the winter time, I like the access to get to that dang salt and get it off asap. I see where when you walk up to it from the side, especially with 4 WD like mine, you see alot of underside that would be nicer covered as it was with my Y2K but when I'm down there with the pressure cleaning wand in the snow, ice, mud and salt, not having them has its advantage also. Guess I should have said, for some of us.
