Thanks for the kind words Joe Mc.

You are right it sure helps to have good friends at times like these. Also at times like these you can sure find out who your real friends are that's for sure. Farmall has alsmost as many hours in helping me out as I have in this rebuild. I should have it ready to fire up Sunday though. I can't wait either. I want to get some seat time in my diesel again. I've also got some new sticks coming soon to use all the fuel I've got so it will be fun to drive again. Oo.

Here's some more pics if anyone is interested.

I am really sorry to hear about your truck. Good luck with the new motor.

If the owner owns up to what has happened and refunds my $1,300 I will say that he's a stand up guy. Until then I won't buy anything from the company and I'll do my best to keep others from getting hosed like I did.

As per your quote, all I can say is don't count on it.

Tom.

Well I got a PM that my responces on this thread have been pulled because I was "baiting" people into a agrument. So I guess I am not allowed to speak the truth and stand up from ym friends when they get ripped off. We'll see how long this one lasts, I probably just violated another with this post.

That PM from a Moderator reminded why I have decided to never renew on this site again. There are plenty of free diesel sites on the www that treat the members like a person, not a paycheck.

Where were you when I handed over $1,200 cash? j/k :)

At least the stuff I got didn't damage the motor. My $2400 lesson actually cost me less than yours. Motor rebuild took alot of time. I'm with Tom about not holding your breath on the refund.

Yeah I've got a little more than that in it now that ADP has cost me.

Nearest I can figure right now is $2,500 that's without any labor.

If I go by the cheapest labor rate around at a reputable diesel shop that's another $3,700 that it would cost. That would bring the grand total up to $6,200. I actually got a quote of over $7,000 at Cummins for the fix. Good thing I got a nice shop and good friends to help out when something like this goes wrong. Thank you all!

BTW: Almost started it today. If I would have had another hour before I had to be at work I would have fired it up. :(

We are up and running! Oo.

Got it on the road today. Sure did take a lot last night to get all that fuel system blead but once we got it fired up it shure sounded good. Done one retorque on the Haisley studs, and rechecked the valves. Now I just gotta put some miles on it before checking the studs one last time. Everything is working great sounds a little smoother since the valves are adjusted back within specs. Lowering the compression does make it white smoke when cold and it has more of a lope than it already did with my HRVP but that doesn't bother me any.

Sure was nice to cruise around in the Big Blue truck again

Thanks for everyone's help that was involed in getting me up and running.
