Bob,

For the most part it means lower power, worse fuel mileage and higher maintenance. the upside is it will sightly lower nitrogens of oxide (Nox), which is the by product of compressed oxygen.

Now maybe a BS story - but I was told

that if you had a non-certified California rig, not one 20-30 year sold, but a newer one - It Had To be Calif Certified or else it couldn't be licensed! Is this true??????

BIGDIG,

I did some checking and there is a ban regarding your move to Maine. The truck is OK, it's YOU that's banned!

Just Kidding!:p

EGR and intake gunk.

There is some information concerning the EGR issue and what it does to the intake on the VW Diesel site (TDI Club.com). It sure sounds like it is something to avoid. What a mess. There are even some pictures. ( I like pictures) :p Have a great day.

Hi BIGDIG,

Depending on what work has in store for me I'd like to stop by. Let me know what I can bring.

Very kind of you to offer and as we get close to President's day I'll drop you a note if I can make it.

Again, thank you!
