The rating is for stock position. If the kit is a TST kit it will have a black plastic guide to aid in positioning the plate in the same position as the old plate.
I bought my truck used with a plate already in. I upgraded to the #11 TST using the plastic guide. I don't know if the former plate was in the stock position or not. I don't recall anyone mentioning any measurements to go by in this situation. Anyone got a suggestion?
Thanks Joe, I know some members scoot everything to the front and max out. I will wait till it cools off and begin the surgery. I understand small moves (. 030) make a BIG difference, I'll just go stock position.
