When merging, every other car doesn't apply to most? Why?

Why is it that just about everyone doesn't understand the fact that when 2 lanes are merging to one, say for example on an on-ramp when there are 2 lanes (from a 2 left arrow green light no less). That they must tail gate the car you're supposed to merged behind?

At first there was some space, I like to leave some space behind the cars I'm behind right. and this caddy with this turd driving it decides that I wasn't close enough and he was going to "sneak around me".

What most people don't figure is that just cuz I'm on the phone, doesn't mean I'm not paying attention in all my mirrors and watching you!!!!! I rolled up close and forcefully took my rightfull spot. Caddy backed down and fell in where he belongs, on the correct side of my smoke pipe. Retards.

I don't push unless your doing something terminally stupid while driving. But I never get pushed and take it. People gota remember, your not the only driver on the road. Yeah, it's a little aggressive, but come on, most tards need this push back.

A few weeks ago I had a driver decide that the fact that I was already half way though my left hand turn at a 4 way stop, that he was going to cut in front of me. He STOPS half way though his turn to look at me! I lay on the horn, and keep moving, he peels off, narrowly getting his drivers door dented in. Gets in the left lane, then from the left lane, makes a right hand turn to the highway, crossing over 2 lanes! WTF?!?! There was some fun on the highway "slowing" this guys commute down.

You know, I used to try and play 'traffic cop' too and screw with people that were clearly isiots until I went to beat the crap outta this dude in a pickup truck and he stuffed a gun in my face. Calm down, it ain't worth it.

I won't get out.

And if anyone stuffs a gun in someone's face. They better hope the stuff-e isn't trained in any self defense or that gun will be turned around real quick. If the weapon is with in arms reach that is. You know ever know. That point is valid.

And if you get out of your vehicle, Your asking for it, no matter what side your on.

I push back, and if the person has a real attitude, I call the police and report exactly what happened. Even my actions.

I know very little about gun law. But if a gun was stuffed in your face outside of Texas at least, That's grounds to go to jail assuming you got a plate # and reported it. The fact that you know he has a weapon that's supposed to concealed and you have no relation to that person should be enough. correct?

I know in Michigan if you draw your weapon and not in immediate danger, your in big trouble. assuming you have a permit and all that jazz.

Why is it that just about everyone doesn't understand...

I used to get all torqued up with idiot drivers myself. Had one woman driving a church van full of women cut me off twice (she'd cut me off then get hung up again, I'd go around her then here she'd come again) so the 3rd time I pulled up REALLY close to the car in front of me and she came over on me, looking me in the eye at 65mph, far enough that she folded my mirror against the door. I called the law and followed her till they stopped her. Come to find out she was trying to keep up with another church van that had gotten way out in front of her.

Anyway, I don't even care anymore. I drive the speed limit. Somebody wants or needs over, I let 'em in. Somebody crowds me, I pull off and let 'em by. It just ain't worth it.

Other the fact that most would agree it isn't worth it to fark with them back. Tho, personally I like to push that a little... . And typically call the law more then I'd like to.

Is there any real way define or figure out why people do this? There can't be that many "bullies" like in grade school days that are still "bullies" when all grown up.

Is there a way to read a person, like in poker to figure out if they are that type with a quick glance?

It's almost like the internet to these folks from what I can gather. You can upset people on the net all day and no one can really "do anything" about it. So they bring this mentality to the car cuz most are to timmid to do anything. 9 times outa 10, in person, these bullies will wait in line and not cut.

Then again, like the internet, some people are smart enough to do something about it. Also, some are able to get back at this tards on the road to send a message back.

Well, the dude I was referring to was gonna get pulled out the window of his pickup and get his *** whupped. So he was in danger. The point is, you just never know who you're screwing with, so it's best to just let it go. Doesn't make them any less of an a-hole, if they think their time is any more valuable than the next person's, but it just isn't worth going to jail for beating someone's *** (which I have done), or ending up with a bullet in your head (which I came very close to doing).

Are you inferring that I'm not "smart enough" or that you are able to "send a message back" to the "tards" and I can't?

I feel the same way about driving and dealing with people on the road as I do about arguing with people on the internet. It just ain't worth it.

Some of the problems on the road are just stupidity, but the main problem is the selfish, self-serving mentality in the world today. People, act, talk, and drive like they are the only ones around, no consideration for others. Everybody's got to be right, got to be first, got to be ahead, and everybody else is just standing in the way. I'm not saying let people run over you but what's easier, banging your head against the wall or stepping aside and letting them go?

Funny Thing, when I was driving my 20 year old ,rusted , beat up, 3/4 ton with the home made iron pipe bumpers,

No one cut in front of me, raced me for position ,always let me in
at merges... they seemed to want to just give me the right of way.

Do you Think it was my Hard *** look, ????

Well I get to the twin citys on occasion and the biggest Tards out there are the ones who designed the traffic flow patterns. That area has the dumbest patterns I have seen. No wonder they drive stupid, they are trying to figure out what is screwed up to start with. I make a wide circle around the cities when traveling that way just for that purpose.

200% agree with you. Ever wonder about the traffic lights around here? Figured this liberal hippy town would do something about the very very very inefficient city driving one has to do... You CAN NOT go from one intersection to the next with out stopping. Be it 5pm, or 3am. 2 lane road of 5 lane road, down town or farm country. Some times the fact there is no traffic turning left opposite of you allow for all green, some times you got a left lane with no one in it, with a green light arrow, and your still sitting there.

I find the most rude people when I'm pulling my travel trailer. They just don't seem to get it that, even though I'm driving a CTD:-laf, I can't accelerate up the onramp with a Corvette, or slow down like crotch rocket. Also, I can't fit 50' of rig in a 20' hole. If you're in the middle lane and have your signal on to move to the right lane, it's few and far between those who will slow down a little and open a space. And if they do, some other dumbarse fills it before you can! MEMEMEMEMEMEMEME!

Im reading this post and agree about just calming down and letting stupid people be stupid. I have been in different countries all around the world and driven in most of them and I can say that the American driver is the most selfish, self centered, and plays the most stupid games on the road than anyone else in the world. Now, I'm not talking about aggressive drivers like in Germany or people who take stupid and dangerous chances like in Spain or Korea. Americans drive like someone or something is owed to them and they are also very mean.

Well guys let me just throw my . 02 worth in here. I have to put up with idiots all the time that is why I like to drive my dodge instead of my wifes car, they not as quick to be stupid when the vehicle your driving is larger than there's. I don't mind it as much as I used to since I came home from the middle-east, over there you get a lot of practice driving with idiots. If somebody wants to drive that recklace I just call the law, it wouldnot be the first time. I have had people try to cut me off while towing my travel trailer, lets just say I know one individual who willnot do that again. Never try to take on a dodge pulling a 30 ft tt while driving a little foreign piece of s*&^t you just might end up someplace other that the road.
