Nice post IColeman :D

Well since I started this thread guess I better update my info. If you read my first post it says "My truck was born on February 22, 2000 at 9pm" but my signature says "1996 Ram 2500" LOL

Obviously I don't have my 2001 HO anymore. My '96 Ram was born June 14, 1996 at 6pm :)

EDIT: I see mine was born on a Friday evening. It's not doing bad for a Friday truck!

My 2nd generation was made 6/12/02 at the Lago plant. Looks like I got one of the last at a plant that was shut down within a couple of months of my build and you got one of the 1st on a new assembly line. Now does it look so far? Mine is perfect, even better than my 2000 was :D

Pretty close. My 02 was built on 15 July at the Lago plant (undercoating and extra-HD Mexican block) at 2:00PM.

Is anyone's 2nd gen newer than mine?

060601... ... . I'm guessing June 6th at 1:00 am?I thought the 01 was the year because my truck is an 01. The sticker says MDH..... which mexico plant was that?

Also, I have the 55 block

My truck was born on August 11,1998 at 3 o'clock in the afternoon in Saltillo,Mexico Blessed with the wonder block numero 53(now on numero dos 53) Also I'm developing quite a bit of surface rust. Don't believe mine received the primer baptism.

JL, the 11th position of your vin is the plant code. It should be an M which is for the Lago Alberta Assembly Plant in Mexico.

Drybones on NW Bombers has two '97 duallys, and when we were looking at the stickers recently we discovered both of his trucks were built on the same day! Just a few hours apart and at the same plant.

June 23, 1999 @ 0000 (midnight) in Saltillo. Appears to be the HD-Latino block. On the 2nd LP and the original VP44, with a mere 128k on her. Been a good girl.

Now that I've jinxed myself, I guess she'll act up and I'll have to ground her.

You have to be carefull, look what SNOKING has done, bought my wife a new Buick Rainier SUV and the truck started spotting the the garage floor. Bad water pump! It was never threaten by the Honda Accord sitting there.

truck born

Well the worst day was mine of 101019 of 98 and yes it is a 1B7. Yes is runs just about the same as I have been so UNFORTUNATE to receive. :-{} JUNK Never has had much in the way of power, for loaded welding trucks have been handily able to beat me out of an intersection. The best was almost been beaten by a 3/4 ton Chev pulling a 20+ foot 5 th wheel out of an intersection. :--) It idles as if it was a gas job with shorting spark plug wires. :-{} so you can't run it below 1700 RPM.
