ATV Trailer/Dealer Recommendation

Towing weight

I've purchased 3 new fivers since 1990 and never asked if I could test drive. One was ordered through the dealer from the factory and two off the lot. They all handled fine. They might let you test tow if they really wanted to close the deal and if they knew you had towed one before and were not a beginner.

I don't think it's a normal request and I know a lot of people with fifth wheels that never test drove that I'm aware of.

i was just currious is all. i noticed a few bike and ORV places are starting to take a few brand new older models and set them up for test rides. harley is pushing the buell so much that you can test ride a buell at almost any dealer.

again, just curious. thanks.

I bought a used enclosed car hauler a few years back. It towed like crap. It took me a year to get rid of it. I will NEVER buy a trailer again without test towing it. I know in the used market most people will let you take it for a spin. I guess they think if you have a big Dodge with a Cummins inside you are used to towing trailers. -Jason
