Why does Dodge still not have the 325/600 info on the web?

N10BD Learjet 35A S/N 506

Started on 5 string banjo around 64, then switched to guitar. Played around with pedal steel and tenor sax, but never got there. I now play bass in a church band occasionaly.

Chet-styled fingerpicking for 30+ years. Wish I could do what Dan Crary does with a flatpick, but my right hand holds me back.

Self-taught banjo - just enough to get by for 20 years.

I started clarinet around 3rd-4th grade played it till 7th grade and picked up tenor sax. Soon after picked up saprano. Played till the end of junior year and gave it all up due to not getting anywhere with the band teacher. I didn't go to his house and kiss his rear or love on his kids. Still have all of them, my prize possession is my grandfathers King Saxello circa early '20's, he didn't know, he said he bought it used in 1922. I had it sand blasted and completely restored in '88. It plays sharp in the lower notes and flat in the higher. Sounds fine alone, but didn't work well with a band. Maybe someday I'll pick them up again. :(

Trombone since the 4th grade - because I had long arms and could reach 7th position.

Me too, only my arms weren't quite long enough, so my dad made up a little handle extension thing. Everyone thought that was the greatest, especially my music teacher :)

Hey Jake, I didn't know you played guitar. I have been trying to find somebody to take lessons from in Placerville for the last year, but all the places I contact are always "full of students" :(

Anyway, I learned Alto Sax in 1979 (Jr High), played it all through high school and college, still have it, but haven't touched it in over 10 years :( I also picked up Baritone Horn (treble clef, mind you) my senior year in high school, so I could join the Los Angeles All City High School Band and march in the 1985 Tournament of Roses Parade on New Years Day!! (it is an all brass/drum band).

I had always wanted to learn guitar, so about 1 1/2 years ago I broke down and bought my dream axe - one of the new US Highway 1 Fender Strats. I figured with my background I should be able to teach myself how to play..... wrong! The concept of chords just don't exist on a wind instrument and man, my fat fingers just have a heck of a time on the fretboard.

Oh well, it's all good :D

The guitar is one of the harder instruments to play (unless you have a natural talent for it). Switching from sheet music to tablature doesn't help it none either. But the guitar is one of the best sounding instruments IMO. I just whish I could play like Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn did.

YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SRV Forever!!!!!!!!!!!

Stevie Ray Vaughan was (and still is) the king of the Texas Blues. If you ever saw him perform on TV, you would think he was out of this world. He could play the guitar extremely fast. Unfortunately his life was cut short, as he was killed in a helicopter crash in 1990.

DRAG DIESEL, its always good to see an SRV fan.

Brandon,

I am not just a fan, I am borderline obsessed! I mean, my strat has custom wound texas special pickups in it. There is a magic about Stevie, i can't discribe it, but when I watch his videos, or play his music, it's amost like I can feel him..... weird I know. After his recovery from drugs and alchohol, his music was twice as hot!

I could go on all day about him, I am a HUGE fan!

Peace,

DD

Background being primarily country, I never even liked the blues. That was until someone put me on to SRV. Rude Mood blew me away. I started liking more and more of his stuff and then other blues guitarists. Now I like a lot of 'em. He was the bridge for me...

DRAG DIESEL,

Sweet, I have two Texas Specials in my Strat, one in the neck, and one in the middle position, and a Seymour Duncan JB Junior Humbucker in the bridge position. I absolutely love those Texas Special pickups. Those things are smokin hot. I attempt to play his music, but... ... ... ... . there will only be one true SRV.
