American Pride!(not plane related)

As many times as I've visited Canada, and fallen in love with it each and every time, especially the people, it never ever occurred to me to even THINK that our favorite neighbors would fail to help. They ARE helping, it's just not getting reported by every news agency. Some of the reporting I've seen on TV is horrible in it's inefficiency... They're leaving out a lot of stuff, and not even talking to all the right people...

We have many members in the TDR from countries other than the U. S. and they have extended us their sympathies, and I know we all appreciate it very much.

Please, get rid of the racism and ethnic slams . It's not necessary. We do have a big cross-section of cultures , races, and nationalities in the TDR, we all have one common interest, our trucks. The majority of us are conservative Americans, yes, but we owe our fellow members every consideration. (If we do have any members in Afghanistan, they're strongly urged to load up their Cummins Rams and get out before we turn the place into a parking lot) Yeah, right... .

Turbo Thom, Punitive in this case means quick, decisive action meated out with overwhelming and unmistakable force. There is a hole in my heart this morning. Speculation that the passengers on Flight 93 that crashed in PA may have attempted to defend themselves and thereby averted another crash in a populated area makes me proud and angry at the same time. They showed true courage. Courage is knowing and reacting to the things that are more important than the fear you feel. These men and women displayed that by standing up to the terrorists. I can imagine at the time, when that plane started going down, they may have felt like they made a mistake. To be able to tell them they didn't would be a great gift. I feel desparately sorry for the families and friends that have lost loved ones. My desparation comes from the fact that everyone on these planes had so much time to agonize and dread what they knew was coming.

Nationwide silence

Folks,

FYI we've just had a nationwide five minutes of silence over here in Germany in memory and grief for the victims.

The call for silence had an enormous turnout,

schools, offices, government agencies, just about everywhere.

Just thought to let you know and hope there is some comfort

in knowing we're with you in this mess.

Thanks for the kind words and support.

Additionally to all, maybe this will unify people. Stop the bikering about petty things and indifferences. There will always be someone, somewhere that has something better, bigger... what is important is we ALL live on this planet together... ... ... TOGETHER. My personal belief has always been and will continue to be that ALL people are equal, not money, not political status, not job positions, religion, what you drive, how gorgeous your significant other is... ... all these things don't matter. In the end we all live here together.

Peace starts and ends with each individual person. What we say and how we act and react to situations are how peace is sustained or deteriorated.

I want revenege as badly as the next person, but we can't go down to their level and kill innocent people and call it collateral damage. BUT, these scum must pay, and so must their supporters.

I'm off the soap box, thanks for your time.

Flame on!
