Competition Where are variable geometry turbos?

I have read about and heard about variable geometry turbos but they don't seem to be avalible to the general public yet. I don't feel like spending much money on a new turbo because I feel like they are just around the corner. Anybody have any info?

They are prohibitively expensive at about $2500 for the turbo. The problem is you need a control system. That inflates the cost further.

Check with "weircummin. " He has already blown one HY series VGT and I think that he is in the process of installing the second one right now.
