Two new threads posted here today that have no location. I, for one, look at that first to see if the poster is close enough to help with tools or what ever. If I don't know where they are I usually don't even read the narrative.

I tend to disagree with it being a good point, (not reading the narrative just because of the home location of the poster is not local) albeit it is his prerogative. I do agree it is helpful if a location is included in their name. Case in point is; I responded to a 911 from Breakseverything and he was from CT, he was broken down about two hours from me here in IL and nobody else could/would help him. Maybe because people thought since he was from CT. he would not be near them. When in reality he was broken down 1500 miles from home.

I agree w/Ggg. It is "nice" if a location is listed. However, not mandatory to "help out" with a suggestion or other information. Now what gets to me is folks that have over 50 or so posts that still haven't created a signature.

Including the location of where you are when you have a problem would be a BIG help. Especially if someone lives close by and can help. I always read the 911 posts just in case I can offer a suggestion or two regardless where the problem is. If you manage to break down around here then I should be able to offer more than a suggestion if I know that.
