Power wagon,

I would try to get any financing available forget about the interest rate and when we send in some cash to you, you can make extra payments and have it payed off in a couple months. Dont think of it as a debt. Think of it as it is. A group of close comrades willing to help in the spirit of friendship. As of January I would be in for $20.

To be blunt, we (wife and I) tried everything we knew of already.

If I could have borrowed it, it would have been done, and my only post would have been to say "YEEE HAWW, GOT DIESEL!!!"

We can make the payments on a short term (18 months or so) loan, it's just that I can't find anything. The bank that financed the wife's van will, but only after we finish paying it off. And that's like, 4 or 5 payments left...

It's all in the timing, they say :D

Well it looks like we need to get into gear. If you feel comfortable please post your mailing address for us. If not please email me and others so we can contribute.

I am originally from that area . Grew up in Hermiston and have family there and Pendleton. Frequent the area often and would love to meet you and your family some time.

Mark,

Just think of it as "Christmas in November" ;)

Another opportunity to "Pay it Forward"

OK, the money's in the envelope, sealed, where do I send it? :D

Hey PW, take the money from the group and pay off the last 4-5 on the van. Then you can get the loan for the truck, and if you feel really guilty, pay the tdr helpers back when you can.

I have a friend in Portland thay may take a test drive for you if you like?

Or at least make sure its drivable

That would be good.

I spoke to the sales manager ( I think ) and he was of the opinion it was good running and driving, just a little rough in the body.

Of course, he's used to driving things like Mercedes and Saabs, so he might not be used to really FINE automobiles :)

I'm in as well... As others have already mentioned, keep us posted on where to send the check, etc. Enjoy PW's posts/replies/comments so "kokua" (help in Hawaiian lingo) in order. Hope to meet you personally as well in the near future as we are close neighbors. . Perhaps at Rob's in Enumclaw?

OK, so we pay off the van loan. :) I'm in for $20. I'll even send it to your PayPal account. :p

If the bank will loan you the money when the van's paid off, see if they'll still make the loan if you've already borrowed the cash and bought the truck. If so, draw up the loan terms (rate, schedule, etc. ), have it notarized and send it to me with a couple character references. Well, we know you're a character, but that's beside the point. :) I'll send a check. Oh, yeah. Make sure the title lists me as lien holder.

Or, what's the balance on the van? I'll loan you that amount so you can get the truck sooner.

TIME'S A WASTE'N

Come on Mark,

Let me know where to send my contribution for the "Good Guy Needs A Truck" fund. :D :D :D The truck don't look that bad, however I agree with the paint and hubcaps opinions, not to mention, the parking light is out on the front driver's side.

(Ya know,,,,,,,,,,Intense Blue would look good) :D :D :D

I can send some Canadian funny money! $40 Canadian should just about equal $20 us! If this is a go..... let me know.
