Internet question

Jff24Gordn's new trucks (rebuttal)

Ok... if you really wanna do this.

There's only one way this work. Someone has to act as an escrow agent who pays seller directly... In case something goes wrong, it then has to be returned to everyone. I would never want it to be anything less than straight up.

E-mail me with an adress, I'll send a check too. As far as an escrow goes, I don't care, I'll send it right to you, I know you'll spend it on what I'm sending it for.

P. S. Mark, I'm sad to see you leaving as a moderator, but very grateful for what you have done. Thanks

ante up!!!!!

750 + views and only 42 replies????

I thought TDR members were a lot tighter than this.

I'll bet 90% of you have saved a lot more than 20$

from the free advice and sometimes labor of other members.

What do ya say?

OK listenup all you people that have gotten FREE advise and problem solving tips here. this forum would'nt even BE here if it wernt[spellinjg?] for PW and all the other moderators. we brag about being a brotherhood of CTD owners. I've never meet POWERWAGON but I feel he would drop what he was doing and come to my aid if I hollered. and would'nt except a dime in payment. He already has helped me many times. and for that I don't know how to repay him except for this. and I hope he does'nt say no to us. It's the LEAST we can do.

I've already promised a donation and if he needs any help getting the truck home I have a 22 foot flatbed trailer that I will come down and haul it home for him. [you hear me PW?]

so come on TDR people, let's do this thing!!

I'm in too! Mark, Rob Hanson says your a great guy and that's good enough for me (BTW, Rob is in too). Where do we send our checks?

I'm In too

hdm48 is right we get a lot of free advise and some good entertainment (I want to see KATDiesel burn them all the way through 2nd gear:) ). I may never bomb to the extent of some, but I know that I will do the right thing when I do because of all the information I have read here.

$20 is waiting for a mailing address.

If PW agrees and everyone else is ok with it. I will take all the checks and record it on a spreadsheet so we have documentation of who sent what. (incase something goes wrong. )

When I get $3500 I will connect with him and he can buy his CTD.

What do you think.

JA. That sounds like a great idea. I'm in for $25 too. C'mon everyone,we need to get ahold of that 1st gen!

To those questioning member loyalty.

I for one was waiting for an address to send my contribution too anonymously.

Do we have to do everything publicly???

Glad to help, PW.

As soon as I get a go ahead from PW. I will post my address here for everyone. If this happens give me your home number and email address with the check and I will confirm receipt of it when it arrives. I will also keep a running tally on this site to let everone know where we are. I will not post the amount any individual sends. I dont think that is necessary.

That's appreciated greatly...

Here's what's going on... The wife's getting a bonus in a week or two, which will mostly pay off our van. Once it's fully paid, the bank says it'll loan us part of the money for the truck... So, after I get it nailed down how much, I will call and see if the truck is still there. If it is, I'll try to work out a deal where I send them a deposit to hold it for 30 days.

But before I give anyone any money... I need SOMEONE to go over there and look at it. It's a 9 or 10 hour round trip for me to go look at it, and frankly, I haven't the time. The wife is still working 4. 5 hours away, and is gone 3 or 4 days a week. I can't leave the kids home alone, and they can't leave, since they have paper routes, school, etc. If I am to go, it would have to be on Monday (no school), but the wife's not home then. The rest of the time I'd have to skip class... not something I'm interested in doing.

If you are in the area:

here's the place:

I need someone to drive it, give it a good once-over to make sure it has no glaring defects like a busted transmission or extreme blow-by or some other serious problem. Oh, yeah... . If you decide to buy it yourself after seeing this :D Just let me know. I won't begrudge it at all.

PW,

I have seen your other trucks pictures, This one could have a skunk family living in it and would still be finest kind after the other rig!LOL!

Sounds almost too cheap, but no 4wd, eh?

No 4wd. That would make it more money and more stuff to break...

I have a 4wd anyway :)

BTW, I've seen pictures of your scout too, so don't start yapping around here too much :)
