You won't, the biggest i have seen is 3". The 4-5" would not be practical for the company to invest in. There are just very few people that would want step bars that big. They are out of proportion to the truck, and I would think they would look funny. The cost would be another reason, both in matterial and production. I think it would be very hard to even find a company to custom build them. most benders that are used in fabricating, don't go the bigg. Most stop at 2", and a few go to 3". The only two bender I know of that would bend 4-6" pipe, have a huge radius and would not work on that application (the die alone for a 5" pipe is 3-4 thousand dollars, not including the 12 thousand dollar bender).

XcumminsX,

I have the Putco's and they are made of 4'' polished stainless steel tubing. Yes, they are pricey but it appears you don't mid spending a little $$$$ and IMO they are worth it.

not sure about the design yet. i am getting frustrated i may just de-badge the whole truck and have some good clear coat but on because i guess the tank was empty when chrysler did my truck :-{}

Check out the Putco Boss Bars in my Reader's Rigs Gallery. Maybe it's just me, but I like them;) Funny how? Funny Like a Clown? Do I amuse you! :D

The four inch pipe actually looks more in proportion to the truck. I think the three inch steps end up looking very anemic on these trucks in a wheel to wheel application. To each his own!:-{}

P. S. Use the link on my photo page to save about $150. 00 on these rather expensive steps!:cool:

DC just came out with a new tube step. It is more of an oval bar that is fairly wide and protects pretty well. I just put them on my 04 and love them!!

That is just the reason not to get them. Anything DC comes out with will become common, and every one that didn't want to take the time and find the bar that fit there personality, or wasn't inclined to putting them on, will just thru the bars in to the price of there truck and finance the whole thing. That might work for some, but trucks are usually more personel and a generic step bar from a dealer has a way of makeing the un-common, very common.

I have the PUTCO Boss bars and love them. My fiancee picked them over the molded plastic, so who am I to argue. She is also the one that said "if you want a diesel, go buy one. " woohoo, gotta love her. I would highly recommend the Putco boss bars. They also have a no drill installation!:D
