Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) where can i find a crate motor

my 12 valve leaks, from everywhere... . looking to find a new engine to bolt on and rebuild and re-install...

Look on Car-part.com and you will find some easily both used and rebuilt. With a quick look I found a place in Massapequa,NY that had some rebuilt long blocks on their website if that helps any... ... . Andy

Go to Cummins and get a crate motor. Has a very good warranty with it, and reasonable installation fees if you want them to do it. I looked into a few years ago and could get one for about 6800. 00 bucks. Check with them to see.

Wanna complete truck? I have a 96 2500 ext cab 8' bed, manual NV 4500, 4x4, stock, 325 000 Km.

I would find a competent diesel shop and have them run a compression test.

If thats good have them seal it up. It's usually the front cover seal and the gasket.
