My battery hold down bolts are rusting away and need to be replaced.

The dealer want $7+ each - yea right.

Any idea where I can get them besides the dealer?

Anyone do a nice jury rig / modification for this?

Thanks!

Dan

How about threaded rod, available from most hardware stores. Galvanized, zinc chromate, stainless steel, and brass are available. I would recommend stainless.

I have seen threaded nylon rod. That would be best if it's strong enough, but I don't know where to find it.

Do you have a fastener store that specialize in carrying nuts, bolts, and screws in your area? I'm not talking Home Depot either. Where I live there is a place called Jalu Fasteners that carries about anytype of fastener.

Any auto parts house will carry them. Oops, forget they are long bolts not J bolts. Still might get them at a parts house or any place that sells batteries
