Where Can I Find The Three Red Running Ltghts That Go On The Tailgate Of A 3500

Would Like To Put This On My 2500 It Should Work I Think#@$%!

from me

I just redid my dually and debadged and took off my moulding. Along with that I took out those lights. They are from a 96 so they might be a bit hazy.

New member today, first post. PM me and I'll see if I can help. FYI - I will be away over the weekend so might not be able to get back to you right away...

Also, I have the cab running lights and third brake and fender lights (changed to smoked LED) if anybody out there needs something like that. I also have the cummins turbo diesel badges I shaved off.

I just bought a set today at a farm supply store for $12 for my trailer. The frame is black plastic with the three red lights.

Check the farm supply outfits and bigger parts stores that have trailer stuff, or even a large truck stop.

You may want to rethink taking off the clearance lights on your dual wheel as they are required by the DOT. You could get a citation for not having the DOT clearance lights.

I'll second that Grizzly, if you're vehicle is over 80 inches, clearance lights of some description are required in most states. And if you tow something over 80 inches both the trailer and the tow vehicle may need to comply with the 'over 80' inches rules. And if a vehicle is used for any commercial purposes, the rules get stickier yet. Check your state laws to be sure. :)

Personally, I like the clearance lights. And especially the ones on the extended wheel wells for the simple fact that on tight country roads at night, the lights keep passing traffic from getting too close and tagging a mirror or the wheel well. Ah, I love the dually, folks see us coming and make for the side of the road even when you're well inside the centerline. :-laf

I thought it was 60" for clearencs lights. I could be wrong. 80" and over trailers need different tail lights (dual bulbs?).

I'll Get One May Look On Ebay

VHolloway give these guys a call I just found out about them this week from a TDR member the parts I needed was the light harness for the license plate lights. it was 75% cheaper through them than my local dealer. . make sure you ask for internet parts. . its a dodge dealer. . Toll-Free: 1-800-748-2139 (Ask for Internet Parts)

V man, If you find that they have the OEM flat mounting unit (The part that holds the three Lights) let me know as I have a broken Tang that holds in one of my lights (Which are LEDs)

I put OPTRONICS ID BAR on my tailgate! pretty cheaper, 16. 99$ if I remember right. bought it from an ebay store and looks very similar to the OE on 3500s

Thanx for the heads up on the DOT requirements. I plan on using the recon full width LED. My only concern is if it will interfere with the hole for the spare crank. Anyone know?

The bottom edge of the tailgate is right at the center of the spare winch socket and is also very close to that when open. check.
