Hey Guys,

Now that PhotoPoint is a pay only service for linking, where else might I be able to store photos on the www so I can establish a link from a TDR forum post?

Thanks

Mike

Yahoo works good for me... .

free e-mail, free storage, free instant messenger...

There is a "briefcase" that you can set up under your user name for photo storage.

YAHOO!

Yahoo allows you to store about 30 photos for free. There is a charge fif you want to store more. I am currently using Yahoo's free storage plan. I used to use Photo Point.

Thanks for the YAHOO tip.

Now, how do I create a TDR link to a photo in my YAHOO photo album?

In PhotoPoint, I did the "IMG blablabla /IMG " thing with a little editing of the address...

Don't know HTML language.

All I'm trying to do is bring photos in from a www site like I used to do from PhotoPoint.

I went ahead & set up an album on YAHOO & have successfully created links & TDR link icons, but

I have not been able to bring the pics in to the post though.

Check out http://www.tripod.lycos.com/

Not being a HTML wizard myself I find the site pretty easy to manipulate, and with 50 Megs you can create a decent photo album. It's free so no harm done if you don't like it.

Most ISPs provide web space as part of their internet service. All you need to do to upload pictures is to create the web space, which the ISP should have instructions for. Upload your pictures using a free FTP program. The ISP will probably create a dummy page, which you should delete. Then point your web browser to the page and if there is no index.html page, you should see a list of the files that have been uploaded. Point to one of the files, and the picture should be displayed. You can cut and paste the URL from the web browser into your TDR posts.

Here is an example of my tdr page, which does not have an html page associated with it.
