Just got back from spending 2+ weeks in beautiful central Florida. When I left there yesterday afternoon it was 95 and sunny. Pull in to the driveway this evening and it is 57 here in PA on it's way down to the upper 40's for a low tonight. Tomorrow is August 15th isn't it? Maybe Fl spoiled me, but this is just crazy cold for this time of year.

It seems like we really haven't had much of a summer at all this year. We've had a couple of days that it crawled into the upper 80's but other than that it's been upper 70's to low 80's and lots of rain all summer long.
I could do without so much rain but I'm not complaining about the lack of hot weather by any means.

It has been cool and quite wet here in WY this summer. It has been dipping down low enough for the furnace to kick on for the last couple weeks. IMHO, it feels more like late September than mid August. I just hope that winter doesn't stick around as long or get as cold as the last one!!

FYI, over the last 11 years I've seen snow in every month except for August, but this year has me wondering

We went to our beach house in Cayucus for 6 days and that's it. I guess I shouldn't gripe.

Heck I can't wait till it is Cooler I hate the heat . I can stay warm enough but you can Never get cool enough in the summer

I'm with ya. Ever since I moved form Nor Ca to the foothills of central Ca, I hate summer with an evil fashion

Relatively speaking, I suppose it has been a cool summer. We've yet to have a 100 degF day in Houston, TX (although we've been close). That's definitely cooler than the last few years.

Actually (much to the chagrin of the global warming crowd), some of us remember the 1970s when the climatologists were claiming that the earth was cooling and we were entering another Ice Age.

Yup, I resemble that remark.

Kinda cool summer here (so far). Only hit 112 three times this summer. Really dry year though, only have had a qtr inch here at the house since Jan. 1. West side of the valley has gotten hit with a bunch though.

Last winter was the coldest in my memory for day after day low temps here in TN. We have yet to turn on the AC in the house this summer. I sure would like my global warming back around the end of October

45 here this morning. The weather channel just said that we should see the upper 70's today.

It's quite hot here in the middle-east. most days are in the 120's. I cannot wait to get home to cooler weather in PA, the only problem is I am going to freeze when I get there.
