Was cutting next winters wood the last few days when we had time, FIL who has lived in this valley for 70 Years said when I dropped a Tamarack Tree that the winter is going to be a hard one. The bark at the top of the tree is dark and the bark looks like flakes.
Getting the mules manes all trimmed up and ready for work starting the 5th of next month their manes were like trimming a wire brush a sure sign of a hard winter to come.
