Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) where did you get your atf+4 ?

all right where can i find the atf+4 besides the dealers parts counter? i have tried the local parts places with no luck. last time the dealer sold it @ 35 bucks a gal . i just got a pml pan and should probally need almost 2 gals. thanks to any sugestions. carl

i got mine from napa. How do you clean the rest of the fluild out? The pan only holds 4 qts? Thanks Rick

The stock pan holds 6 qts,the mag dd holds about 10 qts,The +4 should be a little less than $30 a gallon at the dealer.

Freekin ridiculous - $30 a gallon. Try Wall Mart last time I needed +3 it was like $1. 50 a quart for Quaker State. Not sure if they have the +4 though - sucks if you can only find it at the dealer. Good luck.

Locally, I've tried NAPA, Pep Boys, O'Rielly, Advance, Auto Zone, Walmart, and the mom and pop auto stores, and so far, no one except the dealer has had the +4. A guy at Auto Zone tried to tell me that the +3 would work no problem. I just thanked him kindly and left, had to get it at the dealer.

When it comes to Chrysler trans fluid, I always go to the dealer! That is also the same for the Ford Mercon V fluid. Always go to dealer IMHO.

napa carries it. they ordered it yesterday and i will get it today. the mercon v is definatly misleading when you read the back of the bottle. i would gladly go to the dealer than shop at walmart. thanks . last oil change i think i drained out 5 qts. this time i have the oversized pan so i will need 7 qts. to refill.

So, D. C. no longer has a proprietary ATF+4 formula as I've been led to believe for all these years???
