Where do I get the red valve cover?

Ive never had my valve cover off, is it a rubber seal that can be used again or is it better to get a new one?

Just FYI, The one that was on E-bay was probably for a motor home 5. 9

That valve cover/auction was discussed on a thread around here awhile ago, and the oil fill hole was on the wrong end.

Eric,

I reused my rubber valve gasket and it sealed fine.



Although it may depend on how many miles you have on the engine. I had 23,000 on mine when I changed it.

115K miles on mine, the valvecover has been off at least 8 times, and I am still using the factory supplied gasket. If you take care to not pinch it you can expect it to last the lifetime of the engine.
