Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Where Do I look for block numbers (53, 56, ect.)

I am looking at a 94 or newer 12v with an inline pump. Does any one have pictuers showing where to look to see if this has a 53 block or not. Can this be seen with the engine in the truck?
