I'll be installing a bypass filter this week on my newly purchased '06 CTD and wanted to know where I can source my oil pressure from? TIA.

It sure did feel good driving my new truck off the lot today!

You should have a secondary port next to the turbo supply line on top of the primary filter housing.

That sounds too easy. Is there just one port with an allen wrench type of head in order to remove it?

I would go look right now, but it's pitch black dark right now.

There are two ports, one is in use by the turbo feed line.

I took off the second one to feed my bypass... about a foot up the line, I installed a "T" and a pressure guage... seems to work OK, but you need to run a separate ground to the sending unit...

the 3rd gens have 3 ports on the filter head. one feeds the turbo from the side, and 2 blanked off test ports on top. one is kinda blocked off, the other is easy to access. . standard 1/8" npt fitting. iirc, you need a 7/16" wrench/socket to fit it [not an allen key]

Amsoilman,

Have you had a particle count done on the Ea bypass filters yet?

NO, I have not had any particle count, just the oil analysis every 10K.
