Any recommendations for Ironworker purchase.

1/2" Drive Air Impact Wrench Suggestions??

Mostly from the Snap-On, Matco, and Cornwell tool trucks.

Get some stuff from Sears when I need it.

A local industrial supply house is where I get my other stuff, like Knipex, Klein, Ideal, etc.

Most of my tools came from Sears years ago. Now, I buy some Snap-On, but mostly from the Cornwell truck. Good man, good tools and good service.

Turbo's Custom Trucks... ... ..... Preston. .

Well I got Matco when I started school. I like there stuff. I have plenty of sears stuff. Some gear wrenches from K/D.

Tool guys a disappearing around here. Cornwell come around once and a while.

Mac shocked the guys at vocational school. We can buy anthing in the catalog that has the Mac name on it for 50% off. You need to order a $1000 dollars worth of tools to get the deal. There are no restrictions on how much you can buy. All the other tool companies give you only 50% off of whats on the school's list.

Be very careful with buying MAC tools. Not that they're a bad tool, because they're quite good.

It's finding a dealer when you need something replaced that makes them a bad buy.

Just my experience.....

Every company does this sort of thing... it's good business. If graduates are pouring out of schools having worked primarily with one specific tool brand, chances are when they get a job they're going to encourage their employer to buy that brand. Highly effective.

It's a very sly way of doing things, one that made Microsoft a lot of money and market share. As far as I'm concerned, it's the only reason Microsoft Word is in use everywhere. Tool companies would only naturally want to do the same thing.

True... I need to remember that when she comes over to my tool box and sees TDR on the screen, she rolls her eyes  and says thats not making any money!

I say but honey. . I am doing research :D

Farm auctions have yeilded some of the best buys I have ever seen. I have never been very impressed with Snap-on's cost to quality ratio. Like Captian Kirk says on the commercials, "Shop and compare before you buy".
