IMHO the rechargable Mag light is the best all around deal. I bought one for my Dad last Christmas and it ran about $78. 00 complete. Yes the the Surefire is a great light but I can tell you from experiance(10 years of police work with 4 of it on our Tactical Team) when the light starts to dim it will go out completely in a matter of seconds. It will however throw a great beam when it is working. The Streamlight work very well also and yes they are durable #ad

the little (2xAA) lite hangs in its little belt-holster on my tilt-wheel lever-- the big 4xD lite is wedged between MY seat and that little 20% pad that disappears when the console tilts forward (usually my son's seat)
Actually, I also keep a cheap Manila folder full of BD propaganda, unread mail, unpaid bills, and virtually any other flat, thin items wedged in there too... . looks like a little fence... . what can I say, I don't have a real office... rich

I use a Pelican Stealthlight. It sits in its charger on the rearward side of the 5sp floor console. I couldn't put it under the seat because that is where I put my fire extinguisher. I also like that location because that same light, is the one I use on my fire helmet. 15,000 CP and over two hours of continuous use (I replaced the NiCads with NiMh). And it chargers full in 3-4 hours off of the truck. So it is always ready. Great light.
The plastic case is kind of a drag. I've melted one already. They replaced it free of charge (it still worked but they insisted). They also sent me one of the new stainless steel helmet holders, sans charge. Since I melted the original plastic holder too. Mag lights corrode under those extreme conditions. But the plastic doesn't.
Mag lights are great. I own three. But I use the stealthlight the most.

Well, I guess all of you QC cant do this, but it is in my tray behind the passanger seat. Easy to get to, doesnt move, no drilling, and the one on the drivers side is full of ferd equipment(tool set). #ad

I might try the clips on the drivers side b-pillar.
