'95 Ram 2500 SLT Diesel.

While putting in the new heaslight harness, I fixed my cruise too. For some reason it was not plugged in, and it did not have a vacuum line connected to it.

I plugged it in and ran a new vacuum line from a port on the line that runs just below the cowl.

Here is my question, I looked all over for an open vacumm port, figure there must be one that did feed the cruise originally, can someone tell me where the other end of the vacuum line from the cruise is supposed to be connected? Thanks in advance.

Had to do the same thing on my truck. I found a T in the small wacuum line under the lip of the cowl that had a rubber cap on it. Removed cap and attach the line to it. Did you find the cruise servo under the drivers side battery? Bit of a booger to get to.

On my truck, the line to the servo was gone and had to replace the servo. Had a hole in it big enough to stick my thumb in to it.

You're right, it sure is packed in below the battery tray. Actually, I started by trying to fix the cruise, took the battery out to get the battery tray loose to get to the servo, that's when I noticed it was not plugged in and had no vacuum hose running to it. I also noticed a cooked/jerry rigged headlight wire which led to a new headlight harness and a lot more work :( The jerry rigged headlight stuff was likely why the servo was all disconnected. I have not had the guts to look at the headlight switch, it has to be toast... ... . hope it did not get the connector.

The cruise works fine now, I'm hoping someone can tell me where it was supposed to be plugged into the vacuum system because I'm guessing it is open tot eh world and "sucking air" right now..... judging from the quality of fixes the previous owner implemented, I doubt he plugged it off properly.

By the way, Is there an idiot light that is supposed to come on when the cruise is on?

The vaccum line on my 2001 is connected at the pump header. It is a reinforced line that leaves the servo. . I have a needle valve in mine. Mike
