Nope, but you could try some truck stops, I know the PETRO truck stops (not sure if they're in TX) carry D1 sometimes. Often it's not in the actual store, but in a separate building that actually performs big rig oil changes.

I just order mine at www.avlube.com and have it delivered.

There is also a distributor in texas called Tri-Con that sells d1 at good prices, but not sure where they are.

I forget the name of the Mobil distributor here but I ran into one of their delivery drivers at a customer a few years ago and asked him about it. He called in and was very helpful but best I remember it was extremely high. Much higher than avlube.com. The Rip Griffin in Terrell was listed on the Delvac site as carrying it but when I was there once they didn't have it, that was 2-3 years ago so they may have it now. I've seen some guys in other parts of the country post that their Wal-Marts had it although I've never seen it around here. They may be doing something different as they haven't been restocking their shelves with the Rotella 5W-40 synthetic.

Have you gotten on the Mobil Website?? That may help find a location, but you should try the truck stops. If anything, do a Yahoo search and see what it brings in. Just my $. 02 worth.

I'm not sure what Delvac 1 is but I buy 1300 super at Costco cheaper than I can get it anywhere else, that is the only one they carryby the way.

Delvac 1 and 1300 are both CI-4 rated diesel oils. D1300 is a petroleum based 'dino' oil, while Delvac 1 is a group IV synthetic made of PAO/Ester top notch quality basestocks. Arguably one of the best ,if not the best, full synthetic diesel oil out there.

Hey Mark, I found Delvac1 that is somewhat close to us. We stopped at a travel center in Italy, TX that has it. There was no price on the shelf so I asked the lady working the register how much it was, she said $10. 99. I went and got a drink and upon checking out I asked about the price again. Still $10. 99 a gallon. I was beating myself up the rest of the way home for not cleaning them out. I know that price can't be right but it was too high for the Delvac 1300, Delo, & Rotella. Things that make you go hmmmm.

Darren

Trust me, I certainly was but what gets me is that the price is almost as far off for the other dino lubes. Should've loaded up all they had.

Darren

Don't guess it could hurt. I used Delo in gassers before I got into diesels. Still not impervious to . 30 cal.

OK, I'm a long ways from Texas, but I get mine at a local independant petroleum products company. I'm just glad they sell walk in even though I can purchase through my employer if needed. I got the name from 3 sources: Yellow Pages, a local TDR member, and the area Detroit Diesel shop.

I notice my price is about a $1. 00 less per gallon than AV Lube, and no shipping, too.

Vincent Oil and Gas

This information is about a year old. But you might give them a call and see what their current price is. They only sell the Delvac in 4 gallon cases at $91. 00 a case. Can't buy just one gallon from them.
