I was just wondering what does the cam plat do? And where is it at? I all the time see {#4 cam plat} or some thing like that posted on someones bomed truck. And is this more power or what. Feed me some info CTD heads.
The cam plate is on the 94 to 98 12v trucks. It's in the fuel pump. If you go to TST, Janetty, BD or another performance place they probably have a picture of it. It's like a chip for the 24v or the fuel screw on a 1st gen. It has a different profile that makes it add more fuel, which makes more power.
No Problem. Question for you. How does that dually ride? We have an 89 3/4 4x4 ton and the previous owner had put duals on it. Talk about a rough rider. We also had a 91 3/4 ton 4x4 and that rode way better. I'm thinking about taking the duals off and putting single wheels on the back again, to help with unsprung weight and better traction in the snow. Just wondering if they improved on the ride that much in 2 years or if ours has way heavier springs, or if it's the dual wheels.
Yeah it had the dually fenders. I'll try to air them down, they're pretty solid now. Thanks for the tip, we'll see how it pushes snow with the duals, I'm afraid it'll float. If not I want to keep them on for pulling trailers.
My dulley rides like a log wagon on roids, hehehe. I was comming back from milawakee wisc 2months ago and was on the toll road {94) and hit a bump with a trailer and a car on it and I think I got air, it was a roughf ride. I have 8 main leafs and 3 over loads and mine is a 350. I wouldent think duellys would make it ride harder, bit I could be wrong to but you gotta love a 4x4 dulley.
