Where is the Bock heater at??

My 05 did not come with the cord for the block heater. where is the heater and the wiring harness the cord plugs into. im thinkin about makin my own cord since it will start gettin chilly in the morning here shortly? any suggestions on makin my own from the ones that have done it.

Next to the oil filter.

yep next to the oil filter, there is a threaded cap covering it. The end that plugs into the block isn't a standard extension cord.

If you don't have the cord for whatever reason, Napa carries them. At least here they do.

how much are they from NAPA and are they they same for the most part throughout the model years???
