Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Where is the ESN on my 01?

I'm filling out the form on the QuickServe Online, it is asking for my Engine Serial Number. I went out with a flashlight and can't seem to find it. I was told to look on the valve cover but it is not there.

Where should I be looking?

its located on the timing cover. drivers side of engine right up by the vp44



its a black tag 1" x 4-5" long
