On the BD X monitor, at what temp should I set my alarm for EGT's?? I have it at 1280* now but if I have my box on kill I hit over 1300 easily and hate seeing the alarm flash if it is still safe. Granted, I usually only hold it there for 5-10 seconds then need to slow down anyways.

I'd say 1300 is "safe" for a few seconds, even somewhere around 1400 is "safe" for a few shorter seconds, its 1500 or so where pistons start to melt.

So running it below 1400 is ok?? How long can you run that high?? The only time I flirt with 13300 or so is with the Comp on 5x5.
