http://www.piersdiesel.com/ has a good price on them, $149, but first make sure it's really bad, most of the time the problem is somewhere else. They don't just wear out. About the only time they go bad is if worn starter contacts stick energizing the lift coil for too long frying it. Connect a neg. jumper to the white solenoid wire and a pos. to the red and it should pull up (think I have the colors right??). Many times when folks replace the solenoid with a new one they think they have fixed the problem but it comes right back because all they really did was jiggle around a poor wire connection making it good. Dealers are famous for this $300 wire jiggling fix.

Just to add to what illflem said, if you do the test and still have some problems, and have eliminated all other electrical contacts, shorts, etc. take the solenoid off and clean it up. I took mine off, put a new boot on it, cleaned it up and haven't had any problems since. (knocking on wooden computer desk)

If you decide that doesn't do it, find a Kenworth dealership with a good parts dept. , they normally beat Cummins prices, which beat the he!! out of DC. Good luck.
