Where to buy Factory Service Manual for 2017 Ram 3500 4x4

Looking for a factory service manual for a 2017 RAM 3500 TD. can't find one in stock. Anyone have any suggestions?

The only place I am aware of is from FCA at https://www.techauthority.com/

They are only electronic, they send you a USB drive about the size of a credit card. Be aware, the wiring diagrams are a separate purchase, but they offer them as a bundle for a bit cheaper.

You have to buy from Tech Authority and is a DVD for Windows.

Yes Sir, same on my 2017 Ram 5500. I have BOOK and CD for my LRE, CD for my Jeep, and two card thumb drives for my 5500. Although I have lifetime extended warranty on wife's 19 Ram 1500, may go ahead and get the FSMs for her's too.

Recommend you create a folder Manuals, download the owner's manual, and copy your thumb drives to the folder, one for General and one for Wiring. Way easy. I also have owner's manuals for wifes 19 Ram, my 5500, and the Jeep on my smart phone.

Ron, I have the Jeep, 14 Ram 3500, 19 Ram 2500, and the 21 Ram 3500 on my laptop with large drive one folder for each vehicle that way no hunting to where the drive went. as you know I am up there in age so must keep very simple deal.

Does the USB version require Internet Explorer as a web browser? I bought a disc version but it requires Internet Explorer. I'd love to transfer the files and use it with a tablet but it simply won't work with Chrome on an Android tablet.

It seems odd that they would require a web browser that is not being supported. From what I've been told, and I may be wrong, Microsoft has discontinued support on IE and switched over to Edge.

I guess there's still enough requirement for IE that in one of Microsoft's updates to Edge, Edge automatically switches to IE if Edge detects the requirement for it. Prior to the update, if I wanted to use one of my FSMs, I would have to go into settings and change my default browser to IE to use them.

I too think Tech Authority not developing products for current MS and other OSs is bad business decision and will hurt and eventually kill their business.

Ron, I have older Windows system on lap top that works ok, Ram is operating in the pass like twenty years ago I spoke with them about the deal with Windows there answer was " that's how it is"

I got my wiring usb card, copied the files to my hard drive but it must be copy protected, I can only open if I use the usb card. This is for the 2019 Wiring info Ram Truck 2500. And only works as stated above with IE.

Same for me, I can only open it if the card is in the slot. Oddly, while it has been a while, it seems like when I copied the files to my hard drive, I was able to open either manual (Service or Electronic) as long as one of the cards was inserted, it didn't matter which.

Friends,
All my Tech Authority manuals open without either the discs or the thumb drives. I guess they decided to lock down ownership with the newest ones. You might check mapping to see if its mapped to HD or USB, but good chance it's in the program.

Yes that is correct the later versions are copy--protected, keeps people from buying one copy and making 10 others!
