I'm preparing to purchase a remanufactured NV4500 for a conversion. Who has the best reputation? Price? Thanks!

I was very happy with the transmission and service I got from Standard Transmission. I can't say the same for another major supplier.

Signal73 just pulled a 5 speed out of his 95. It was fine, he just wanted an automatic. Might save a buck or 2 getting it from him.

Quad 4X4 is a great place to get one. He has the supplies to rebuild it yourself and a good source for knowledge. Do yourself a favor and upgrade the pilot bearing in the flywheel, will have fewer problems in the long run.

Ditto's to what Cruiser_2 said. I have a Quad 4X4 NV4500 with the torque King main shaft and upgraded pilot bearing. A good set up.

Hey, thanks to all of you! I was leaning towards a rebuild from Standard, but I think I'll go new from Quad4x4, with the upgraded mainshaft!
