where to check VIN to see the original sticker without paying!

I'd like to check a VIN on a truck I'm peaking at to see if it has a AISIN or not. Pretty sure its 68 RFE . All the sites I find on google are pay for sites. Anyone know any free ones?

Quickest way for me would be to look for the Aisin computer under the dash by the brake pedal; it has a label on the aluminum case. I had heard that the Aisin wasn't identified in the VIN.

Lift the hood the trans dip stick is on the right on the Aisin and left with the 68RFE.

That is what I heard was the quick way to tell.

its a 68RFE. This one does not have the flare in any gear...Beats the heck out of me why the other 2013 did.
